NTUC Youth Committee Organized Mini-Marathon

12 Aug, 2016, Kathmandu, Nepal. Nepal Trade Union Congress Youth Committee organizes Mini-marathon. On the occasion of International Youth day, more than 500 workers from different affiliated organization of Nepal Trade Union Congress took part in the race which started from Tinkune, Kathmandu and ended to Maitighar, Kathmandu with the theme of "परदेशमा होइन स्वदेशमा, युवालाई रोजगार घर घरमा" Newly appointed minister of Physical, Infrastructure and transport Honorable Ramesh Lekhak was the Chief Guest. Honorable minister quoted, “the youth are providing their blood instead of sweat to the foreign country and the government are serious about the issue”. President of NTUC Mr. Khilnath Dahal opted, “Nepal government should make its youth employ on its own country. Among the many invitees, former chairman and General Secretary of SARTUC Mr. Laxman Basnet claim that, youth are the main source of energy of the nation and should be serious about this.  Similarly, General Secretary of NTUC Mr. Mahendra Prasad Yadav explained, the youth are the treasurer of the country and vowed the nation must have to create opportunity for the youth. Another talisman was the president of Nepal Trade Union Congress Youth Committee Mr. Baldev Tamang. He stated Millions of youth are in foreign and if government tries to operate the economy only by remittance then there will be serious accident, thus youth must be recruited on its own nation. The race concluded with the hard fought victory by the athletes. Among them, Bhim Bhandary from Nepal Construction Workers’ Union claimed the first position. Awash Yonjan from Nepal Carpet Workers’ Union followed Mr. Bhandary and snatched the runner up position. Accordingly, Sukbahadur Gurung associated to Transportation Workers’ Union got in the 2nd line. Chief Guest distributed the trophy and the cash 3000, 2000 and 1000 continuously to the winner, runner up and second runner up.
